This was a project dreams are made of: driving a luxury car on one of the most prestigious golf courses in Scotland, capturing (and tasing) food from Michelin star chefs AND getting exclusive whisky tours?

The Genesis Scottish Open is the brand’s European Marquee event. For the 2022 and 2023 events, I led a team of videographers, photographers, producers and designers who were tasked with capturing digital and social content, promoting the high-end hospitality that marked this major event in the intentional golf calendar.

CAPTURING THE DIFFERENCE

To celebrate Genesis’ offering of a new car to not only the golfer but their caddy as well, we created a candid ‘how to act the hole in one’ with Star caddie Billy Foster.

ELEVATED HOSPITALITY

In both years hospitality has been core to the car brand’s ethos and our team worked to capture the essence of hosting the first-class hospitality event of the year. We created a suite of assets which captured the Open from every angle, from on-course activations to exclusive VIP events and off-site activations.

DRIVING THE INTEREST

The challenge was to bring a new, elevated look and feel to the event that reflected the value that Genesis places on hospitality.

We captured content that sought to generate excitement and awe in the lead up the event using new formats such as digital pre-rolls.

TIMING MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

In 2023 the Open ran with the theme ‘Timing makes the Difference’ which brought together the concept of perfect timing that is a marker of impeccable hospitality, with the perfect timing of on-the-course success.
